A guide to choosing jewellery as a gift
Jewelship Editorial
Start with the person
Notice what they already wear. Do they prefer gold or silver? Delicate pieces or bold ones? Rings, earrings or necklaces? The best gift feels like a natural addition to their collection.
By occasion
- Anniversary: a piece with meaning, such as an eternity band or a pendant with an initial.
- Birthday: stud earrings or a fine chain, which are easy to wear every day.
- Wedding: a heirloom-quality bracelet or earrings that will be kept for years.
- Just because: a delicate necklace or a stackable ring.
When you are not sure of the size
Earrings, pendants and bracelets with adjustable clasps are the safest choices, because they do not depend on an exact size. For a ring, choose a size that can be adjusted later, or ask us for help.
Make it personal
Engraving a name, a date or a few words turns any piece into something unique. Allow a little extra time for personalised pieces, and remember that they cannot be returned.
